I do not love you today.

There are moments
when the macrocosm
sucks me out of the void
my heart gravitates toward.

We don’t play a fair game.
My love is too big.
You must make me feel small.

Let yourself be taken by the
sweetness of others.

Be preoccupied.
Be silent until I feel nothing.
Until there is no more chemistry
to be made up.

I do not love you today.
But you will ask for me.
And your call is no longer morphine
that I take through thirsty veins.
It is an electric gate that shocks me
back into solitude.
